Rheumatism refers to a variety of conditions characterized by inflammation or pain in muscles, joints, or fibrous tissue. In 2015, VITUP established a multi-disciplinary treatment program for the treatment of certain rheumatic and immunologic diseases. This program has achieved remarkable success at treating rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, bursitis/tendonitis, osteoporosis, pseudo gout, systemic lupus, vasculitis and fibromyalgia.
VITUP’s Department of Immunology was established in 2016 under the leadership of Professor Fengchun Zhang, the Chinese authority on immunology. VITUP has established a renowned clinical center for immunology providing state-of-the-art diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation for patients of all ages with rheumatic and immunologic diseases.
VITUP has also teamed with Peking Union Medical College Hospital to provide comprehensive, accurate rheumatism and immune disease diagnosis and treatment services.
VITUP has established its own antibody testing laboratory. Quantitative antibody examination is an important diagnostic method for assessing the effectiveness of autoimmune disease treatment as autoimmune disease symptoms and antibody concentration changes are directly related.
Curing rheumatic and immunologic diseases is not always possible, but controlling these chronic diseases is very possible. For those with rheumatic and immunological diseases, treatment under VITUP’s program can improve quality of life and enhance longevity.
