Dr. Chieng is globally renown as an expert in Densitometry by the International Society of Clinical Densitometry (ISCD), having been recognized by ISCD as a Certified Clinical Densitometrist, Certified Densitometry Technologist and a Full Faculty member of ISCD since 2004. He has also served as Vie Convener of DXA Quality Control Subcommittee, Safety and Quality Committee of the Radiological Society of the ROC (Taiwan).
Prior to joining VITUP, Dr. Chieng served as the Chief of the Osteoporosis Center at Medical Imaging Department, Taiwan Adventist Hospital, and previously Staff Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine Physician for National Taiwan University Medical College and Hospital (NTUH).
Dr. Chieng performed his research fellowship in Densitometry and Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac MRI at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) after receiving his medical degree from National Taiwan University Medical College.
Over the course of his more than 30 years of experience Dr. Chieng has received many awards, including: 1995 Norland Clinical Plaque; 500 Great Asians in Early 21st Century; Who’s Who in Medicine & Healthcare 2000–2001; Who’s Who in Finance and Industry 2001–2002; Who’s Who in the World Nineteenth Edition 2002; and Who’s Who in Science and Engineering 2002–2003.
